At 21 Slim qualified (abroad) as a Physiotherapist, and worked for 6 months in a neuro-surgery unit within a hospital. Slim then joined a health spa, again as a physiotherapist, and became the manager within 12 months. It was at this point Slim discovered Pilates.
Through various Body Control Pilates Academy (BCPA) teachers and Lynn Robinson the co-founder of the BCPA, Slim became inspired to train as an instructor himself. In 2002 Slim qualified with his first mat work qualification through Body Control Pilates and since then has continued to develop his Pilates teaching skills. With a background of physiotherapy, Slim has been able to use Pilates to work successfully with even the most challenging injury rehabilitation cases.
Slims teaching is focused on alignment based on clear understanding of posture and stability, using mat and equipment based Pilates exercises. With precision and incredible care he understands each every client's individuality allowing every client to progress and improve in a very safe and efficient way.
He remains dedicated to continuing education and development with the BCPA.
