Welcome to our Physiotherapy services.

We find that many people who are looking to see a Physiotherapy practitioner or find out more about physiotherapy have been to see there GP who has recommended Physiotherapy as a course of treatment suitable for their condition.  We would like to provide you with as much information as you need on physiotherapy to help you make a decision on whether physiotherapy is the right treatment for you.  If you cant find what you are looking for about physiotherapy here then you can always phone or email us for free and we will hopefully be able to provide you with more information on physiotherapy.

Listed below are some of the most common FAQ's about physiotherapy which people searching this site have asked before they have come in to see us for an appointment.

97% of our clients feel an improvement in their first session

We pride ourselves in our ability to make a change quickly with our unique and highly effective approach.  This means that you can quickly get to the bottom of whats causing your pain, get treatment for this and leave feeling much better.

We are also honest, so if like the 3% of people that we referred back to their GP, we can't help you immediately we will tell you.  By sending you to the right place to deal with your problem we ensure a speedy recovery.  It wouldn't be right to say 100% of our clients felt better from what we did, but actually our ability to know what we can and can't treat makes sure you are safe and in the right place to recover from your injury.

My First Session

So you decide to make the decision of coming to see us, this is what happens in your first session.

In your first session your clinician will greet you and begin by asking what brings you to the clinic.  From here you will begin to go through a detailed case history which doesn't really take long, but is essential to see what we are dealing with.  Once your clinician has taken enough details they will then carry out an examination in all cases, to make sure your symptoms match with any clinical signs that they can use to isolate the cause of the problem.

Before getting on with treatment the clinician will then explain in terms you can understand what the cause of the problem is.

After the examination and reporting process is complete your clinician will carry out treatment to make sure you receive the full service.

Ideally you should come with suitable clothing/underwear so that an accurate diagnosis of the problem can be made.  Usually sports wear such as a pair of shorts and a vest or sports bra are suitable.  We want you to feel comfortable, this is a priority.  If you'd like to bring someone along such as a chaperone then thats fine too.  We are very friendly but we understand that it can be a bit nerve racking going to your first appointment.

If you have any questions then please don't hesitate to contact us directly

How does physiotherapy differ from 'Alternative Therapies'?

Physiotherapists are medically recognised and often work closely alongside GP's and consultants.  Although, all Chartered Physiotherapists follow the same route to gain their qualification, they often specialise in other areas which complement their skills such as acupuncture and Alexander technique.

At Perfect Balance Clinic our physiotherapists are an important part of our team and provide their expertise in rehabilitation from surgery and injuries.
