After 10 years of attending Pilates classes, I qualified as a Pilates instructor. I work with clients so they can become aware of their bodies and improve their technique. I find it rewarding to see the improvement in their alignment, posture, strength and flexibility and in less pain as a result of injuries. I am constantly learning new ways to motivate, challenge and improve the daily life of clients so that they feel better physically and mentally but at the same time being sympathetic to their bodies by varying the exercises. Pilates can be an excellent maintenance programme in conjunction with physiotherapy or Osteopathy treatment.

I teach beginners and intermediate classes and 1:2:1 Private sessions. I have completed my qualification as a Back4Good Practitioner as I am particularly interested in helping clients to manage their non-specific mechanical back pain through gentle movement and effective exercises. I work with clients so they can become aware of their bodies and improve their technique.

I think this place is amazing! Since going here a couple weeks ago to have a foot injury and long-term back pain looked at, I have received incredibly efficient, professional and attentive treatment.Aaron the sports therapist is really great, and he’s helped me find out issues with my gait as well as helping me with my other issues.Reception is also lovely, very professional, welcoming and have been so helpful!Will be recommending this place to anyone who needs a physio/any other of the many services they provide.

Went for a deep tissue massage with Steve today. Targeted the specific areas I was troubled with, and gave me feedback and advice on how to overcome these issues, including specific exercises to do. Extremely intelligent, engaging and friendly, I will definitely be returning

I couldn't walk even 50 yards after retiring as a consequence of a very hard work as a carer. With the help of the wonderful team of Perfect Balance Clinic I can go and do my shopping and walk around. I still exercise daily as my sort therapist advised me and still more room for improvement, due to my age, 69 years old lady. Shereen has a passion for sports therapy which is inspiring. Her positive energy, excellent massage technique and knowledge fuelled my recovery over the last three months. I had extremely tight tension in my neck and shoulders along with pain in my right knee and ankle. Over a number of sessions, she has worked those areas; improved my flexibility and removing the pain. This has given me the confidence to return to swimming and the gym. She has provided guidance on gym routines and foam rolling to support my conditioning. Her motivation has spurred me on to make improvements which have been way beyond my expectations and had a major impact on my physical well-being. Thank you 😊

I have been having sports therapy with Sharon for the past couple of months. I made an initial appointment after sudden onset back pain associated with a PT session. Shareen was able to locate the issues relating not only to my back and relieve the initial muscular tension but subsequently localise the primary problem to my hip area. In subsequent sessions she's worked on these areas and now built in a maintenance programme to keep me on track with my training. Really great at explaining everything and excellent attention to detail. Highly recommend!

After suffering with glute pain and with the Oxford Half Marathon 2022 3 weeks away - I had a scan with Stephen McKindie who diagnosed a bursa - followed up by laser heat treatment and acupuncture with Aaron ( sports therapist) at Hatfield. His advise on strength and stretching exercises and motivational words not only got me to the start line but I finished strong and pain free in a great time! Thanks Perfect Balance always money well spent as it WORKS !

I visited Eden in relation to a lower back pain after injuring my back in the gym. My back had recently gone into a spasm and it was very painful. Eden was extremely helpful and professional. He quickly identified the areas where the muscles had pulled and provided effective treatment on the back muscles whilst explaining what had happened to my back. I had two sessions, both of which really helped to alleviate the pain almost immediately. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and I would certainly recommend him to anyone with a sports injury. This course of physiotherapy by Claire has impacted my everyday life massively. From my first appointment she has been very thorough, she went through my entire medical history with me and explained in detail how she is planning my programme according to that and the reasoning behind why and how it is different to the ‘standard program’.I am back to 90% full range of movement and am now able to complete everyday tasks with ease. For example, I am now able to lift my arm to put on my deodorant (which I was not able to do before). Claire has been brilliant at setting goals specific to me and that would challenge me. She was able to motivate me and explain how each exercise would contribute to functional tasks and every time offered to video the new exercises in each session so I could see how they should be done.She also showed me regression and progressions of my exercises not only from her own exercise plan she made for me, but also from my NHS physio, she truly went above and beyond on multiple different occasions. An example of this is she always allowing me to email her with any issues, concerns or additional progressions and regressions in-between appointments.Another major point I have taken away from our sessions is the advice and education Claire has given me in every session she would tell me the reason behind everything and would do linking to both the major muscle groups and the more intrinsic muscles.Claire also helped explain her clinical reasoning to my daughter who is an aspiring physiotherapist in her second year of study at university.In summing up Claire has been fantastic her sessions have truly improved my quality of life and I am able to continue with everyday life with minimal pain and almost full range of movement.

Highly recommend Jamie and the rehab team - I was living a life plagued by chronic lower back pain. It ruled everything I did and would flare up majorly at least once or twice a year.Jamie and I have been working together for 12 months and I now feel so much stronger, mentally and physically. I even have days / weeks pain free :)I have a way to go but I feel I have so many tools to help me complete the journey myself thanks to Jamie's skills, knowledge and advice. Thank you PB!

Currently suffering from plantar fascitus, and being treated by Jennifer at Perfect Balance. I was due to run the virtual London marathon 2.5 weeks after PF hit, and I couldn't imagine how I could possibly be able to run it given the amount of pain I was in. Jennifer understood my motivation and need to run if I could. She gave me some intense massage and ultrasound treatment over the next fortnight and managed to get it settled enough for me to run the marathon - for which I am very grateful. Her patient care and knowledge is superb and I feel in very good hands. Its not nice having an injury, but when it happens, I feel reassured coming to Perfect Balance for treatment.

I have recommended so many family and friends to Perfect Balance Clinic, I have seen Stephen Makinde for osteopathy on many occasions and he always manages to ease my pain. He is a very professional, knowledgeable and articulate Osteopath where the clients well being is of the utmost importance. Stephen recommended I saw Jamie Cunningham a rehab specialist at Perfect Balance Clinic. I have been seeing Jamie for the past few months on zoom meetings and can honestly say he has helped me so much advising me each week the exercises I need to do to help build the strength in my core to keep my back strong. Jamie constantly monitors what I am doing to ensure I keep on track with my exercises. I feel this has been huge benefit to me and I now have confidence in my back which I have not had this for many years. Thank you to Perfect Balance Clinic, you are a great team.
