Physiotherapist & Sports Massage Therapist
Caitlin Bradley
Highly motivated and determined physiotherapist with a background in professional sports.
I enjoy working with like-minded individuals who want to learn how to move and feel better. As a keen runner, I thrive off working with those individuals looking to return to running as well as those avid cyclists, swimmers and triathletes itching to return to their sports too.
I consider myself a little large voice in female endurance sports in providing a holistic approach to overuse injuries and conditions. These include RED-S and chronic fatigue syndrome as well as more commonly found conditions such as stress fractures and chronic tendon injuries.
Aside from sporting interests, my area of interest within the body is the hip. This is due to the fascinating anatomy that surrounds the structure and its ability to do so much for us whether we consider ourselves old or young. It is also an area that affects every other region in the body and therefore if not worked on it will only cause problems later down the line.
If you can’t already hear my loud laugh in the clinic you will find me running laps of the track/park training up for the next marathon, doing my rehab or eating pizza..talk about balance!
I competed professionally in triathlon. I represented Great Britain and trained and competed internationally. I struggled with injury throughout and always worked closely with the medical team to understand my body and my team meats as best I could.
After taking a break from sport, coaches encouraged me to help others as I loved to help where I could. I led retreats, training camps and events in Europe, America and Africa working with like- minded people that wanted to move and feel better through health and performance. This is where I was encouraged by colleagues, friends and family to begin my path as a physiotherapist.
Since, I have returned to training and am thoroughly enjoying the balance between career as a physiotherapist and sport. I am keen to pursue the marathon and Ironman distances but know more about how to look after my body and how to enjoy sport. I really hope to be a helpful voice within the industry. Paula Radcliffe and Chrissie Wellington have always been great role models for me as two brilliant athletes and incredibly hard working in putting their voice across.
