I am an empathetic practitioner with a background in sport and care for people with complex needs. Having graduated from Swansea University with a Masters in Osteopathy, I have 2 years of experience working in both private and NHS clinics and have seen a variety of musculoskeletal, chronic pain, psychological and medical presentations.I have a structural approach to osteopathy and am a firm believer in holism. Playing high level cricket, hockey, rugby and swimming has given me a broad understanding of sport, and sports injuries, as a whole, and the treatment and rehabilitation of such injuries is an area I am particularly interested in. However, I also enjoy the diversity in presentations and scope for general osteopathic management. Working as part of a patient-centred, multi-disciplinary team is something I am greatly looking forward to.
My osteopathic experience has included two years working in Swansea University’s private clinic and one year in two NHS run clinics. One of which received referrals from chronic pain management specialists and the other from GPs and coaches of high-level sports performers. This experience has exposed me to treat a wide range of populations and conditions, from chronic to acute pain and from musculoskeletal to medical issues. This diversity in presentation stemmed my interest in treating the general population.
I have been fortunate enough to treat international athletes competing in weight lifting, swimming, field hockey and more, which is where my particular interest in treating sportspeople has come from.
