As a Physiotherapist I have years of experience treating complex cases. Along with Musculoskeletal cases, I specialise in treating Vestibular and TMJ cases. Over the years I gained experience treating Paediatric and woman’s health. This great mix of experience gives me a deeper understanding when it comes to treating complex cases. I rehabilitate complex spinal cases and other similar cases.
After completing my Masters in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in California, I worked in paediatrics for 8 years. I treated MSK paediatric and treated complex neuropediatric cases. I specialised in sensory integration. During my undergraduate studies I completed a module in Alexandra Technique and posture has been one of my key aspects in rehabilitation and reformer training.
I have practised in various countries Like India, UAE and USA.
I have always believed in a holistic approach towards any case that comes my way. Besides Physiotherapy I am a practicing life coach and NLP Master Practitioner. This helps me empower my patients to face everyday challenges which can affect our physical health.
My key interest lies in women’s well being and helping them return back to work after a few gap years. Motherhood in particular is very challenging and a women’s self esteem and confidence suffers as a result. I also, love working with children. NLP can massively help children suffering from exam stress and anxiety. I believe in power postures and that a healthy mind is important in achieving optimal health.
I volunteer as a mentor with Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. I enjoy carrying out CPD courses related to Physiotherapy.

The treatment I received from Fatimah was incredible. Having had similar surgery on my other shoulder, it took me 9-12 months to recover and was fearing the same timescales again. However, 5 months post surgery and a few sessions with Fatimah and I’m already back at the gym. I have used perfect balance extensively over the years and can highly recommend it!
My son has been seeing Fatimah for both his upper back scoliosis and sports injury. Her amazing skills at identifying the key problem areas, the triggers to the pain and the ability to relieve the pain, as well as give follow up exercises has helped improve his posture immensely, reduce any pain he gets whole playing his sports and has given him a pain free game after almost a year! I can’t recommend her highly enough. She’s really a true expert in her field!
I have been treated by Fatimah and it has been a great experience. Thank you. Would highly recommend
I have had a series of 4 major back operations and Fatimah has been leading my recovery through specialist 1-1 sessions to strengthen my core, adjust posture, restore muscle memory and achieve balance. I have seen significant benefits from the program of exercises Fatimah has been coaching me through. My mobility and flexibility has improved beyond expectation. Fatimah has been incredibly sensitive in her coaching and has encouraged me every step of the way to achieve my goals. She challenges me to go further each time, and finds different exercises to achieve the same outcome where I have had difficulty. I have continued to go from strength to strength and my overall fitness continues to improve under Fatimah’s professional care, at my pace.
I had one physio session with Fatimah and thought she was excellent and very knowledgeable. She gave me some excellent advice and clearly understood the problem I had very well. She also rang me up later to check on me. I can thoroughly recommend Fatimah as a practitioner!
Fatimah has been amazing in treating my muscle tear. Already after a first session I felt so much better. Would definitely recommend it, great value for money.
I had a shoulder injury around the first week of April 2020 and was diagnosed as partial articular surface tendon avulsion of the anterior pillar of the supraspinatus tendon and was treated with US guided steroid injection. Unfortunately it didn’t improve the condition and I was suffering from severe pain and made it worse with movements. After two months I had the second steroid injection but the result was the same with no improvement at all. The surgeon suggested surgery will be the only option if physiotherapy and the injections aren’t successful. In the meantime I heard about the laser treatment and started treatment at Perfect Balance in Hatfield. Fatimah Parkar was my therapist and she started K Laser with Physiotherapy from the middle of July, two sessions per week. I had a remarkable improvement within three weeks and the range of movement started to increase. Week by week, I was recovering gradually and she reduced the sessions accordingly. As my condition improved it reduced to one session every two weeks. It was an unbelievable recovery as I could start my swimming again. Now I can move my arm forward, upward and to the sides up to 180 degrees. In the beginning it was upto 60 degrees only with a lot of pain. Before treatment, I couldn’t reach the back of the head and back of my spine at all. But now I can manage a full range of movements without pain and I’m lucky to avoid surgery. Even my surgeon was very happy and surprised about my recovery within such a short period (i.e. 4 months). I’m extremely thankful to my therapist Fatimah who was very talented, kind hearted and knowledgeable and a very hard working person. She was fully committed and encouraged me to make a successful recovery through laser treatment. I would like to thank Fatimah and the Perfect Balance team for your excellent service.
I started to see Fatimah because of my phobia of driving a car and cannot recommend her enough. She helped me to realise that my fear of driving was just a tip of a big iceberg and the main problem was connected with my confidence and self-esteem which affected all areas of my life. She gave me invaluable help and advice and shared a number of techniques that help me to boost my confidence, develop trust and belief in myself. Fatimah is very friendly, knowledgeable, supportive and non-judgemental. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
I had decided to investigate a knee problem, which, over time, had begun to cause significant mobility issues. After an MRI, and discussions with a consultant, it was decided that I should seek the support of a Physio. Fatimah has been very helpful in talking through my concerns and explaining the options. In particular, she has helped me regain confidence in my knee, through non-surgical intervention. I hadn’t quite realised the degree to which the lack of integrity in my knee was affecting my confidence in the ability to go about my everyday life and, in particular, being able to keep up with my young family. Now that we have started to unpick the physical concerns she is beginning to address each aspect through a combination of manipulation, taping and exercise. It is this holistic approach which has been so important on my journey to recovery.
Following an acute episode with my right knee which resulted in my being taken to Hospital, it was clear that the NHS was not going to be of any help in enabling me to get back to full and normal use of my knee. Having been treated in previous years at PB, I was pleased to find out that it was possible to get some treatment. I saw Fatimah who gave me some specific exercises to do as well as k laser. At each session she increased the challenge involved in the exercises to gain progress. What was most surprising was how quickly my knee responded to the treatment, due in no small part to an accurate diagnosis by Fatimah and a suitable plan of action. The knee function continued to improve but my anxiety about the possibility of another episode was high; Fatimah could sense that, although there was no longer any real malfunctioning of the knee, to regain full confidence needed something else and she recommended Rehabilitation. This was just what was needed, because it restored my confidence as well as giving me some practical ways of reducing my anxiety.
I picked up a knee injury from running in May 2019. I’ve seen multiple GPs and physios, all of which made zero effort in suggesting treatment or providing any recommendations. Fatimah, Kasia, and Stephen have made more progress in a few sessions than all those other people have attempted in the last year and a half. Couldn’t be more happier! Wish I found this place sooner!
I cannot describe how grateful I am for the care I have received with Fatimah and her colleagues. They are technically brilliant, holistic and make you part of your team on your road to recovery. Fatimah and Stephen absolutely have ‘it’. Their aptitude, belief in recovery and consideration of circumstances is first class.
