SPORTS MESSAGE THERAPY
I qualified as a Sport Massage Therapist in 2016 while completing my Sport and Exercise Health Science BSc degree at Loughborough University. I am currently studying Physiotherapy at Brunel University where I am due to graduate in July 2020. I believe it is paramount to provide a comprehensive assessment taking into consideration your goals to provide a specific treatment plan that evolves as you progress.
Coming from an elite sport background (middle-distance running), having competed for Great Britain from Youth to Senior level, I have had my share of sporting injuries. I know first hand how stressful it can be to have pain prevent you from exercising or even affecting your daily life, and the knock on effect this can have psychologically. That it why my priority as your therapist is to provide a personalised, evidence-based treatment plan to bring you back to your normal function.
In 2016 I completed my Sports Massage Level 3 Diploma while studying Sport and Exercise Health Science BSc degree at Loughborough University. During my time as a student at Loughborough I had the opportunity to treat elite track and field athletes, some that have competed for Great Britain.
After my time at Loughborough I went on to study Physiotherapy at Brunel University where I am due to graduate in July. During my time at Brunel I completed 6 week placements throughout the NHS, including time on an Orthopaedic ward treating patients immediately post total knee and total hip replacements, and a placement in an MSK outpatients clinic where I treated patients with a vast range of conditions from frozen shoulder to Achilles tendinopathy.
Alongside my studying at Brunel University I have had the opportunity to provide Sports massage for Lindt during their health and well-being week, and provide free sports massage for runners raising money for charity in the London Marathon and the Hillingdon Half Marathon.
