Hi everyone my name is John Lancaster and I am pleased to be offering you professional osteopathy and injury care at The Perfect Balance Clinic. I have been helping people suffering with problems just like you for over 22 years and have conducted over 35,000 treatment sessions is that time.
I would say most clients come to me because they are fed up and frustrated with their pain which is now preventing them from doing the things they love to do.
Being a sportsman over the years I have suffered quite a lot of injuries and pain that has halted my progress and enjoyment, so having personally gone through the recovery period and treatments I feel that I have a better understanding of what the client is feeling and need from an osteopath. Most clients need a therapist to listen, show empathy, understand their problem and be able to really help them. This is where I feel I can help you with your needs.
I started my career as a Sports Therapist working at small local clubs such as Ware FC and The Sports Academy treating soft tissue injuries. My reputation as a competent therapist grew and I quickly gained world class athletes as my customers, such as Olympic swimming champions, Paralympic athletes, European and US PGA Tour golfers and footballers at Birmingham FC.
I was then asked to work for the Tottenham Hotspur Physiotherapist Mike Varney where I thoroughly enjoyed being part of a large team and gained huge experience from these guys.
I have run my own multi therapy clinic since 2002 in Ware treating a wide range of pain and injury such as back pain, neck pain, shoulder problems, frozen shoulder, whiplash injuries, muscle tears, disc injuries, trapped nerves, work related RSI, golfers and tennis elbow, CFS and ME, joint pain, headaches and migraines, sports injuries, babies and pain during pregnancy.
I qualified from The London School of Osteopathy having studied under the great late Robin Kirk in 2002. I had already studied to be a Sports Therapist gaining a Masters diploma 4 years previously. Over the years I have taken part in at least 35 manual therapy courses gaining diplomas in Dry Needle Therapy, Pilates, Boxercise, Cranial Osteopathy, The Perrin Technique ( treatment for CFS and ME ) and many more relevant to helping patients heal better.
I am also a believer that the mind, emotions and body all work together when it comes to healing so I decided to become an NLP practitioner and a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Trainer.
Over the years I have treated 2 specific problems more than any other and these have become my most common presenting clients.
- Acute Back Pain and Sciatica.
- Acute Neck pain with referral to shoulder blades.
I have a great record treating theses types of injuries.
I also have an interest in The Perrin Technique for the treatment of CFS and ME.
I studied under the world renowned Dr Raymond Perrin and this is truly a wonderful treatment system for these types of problems.
My personal interests generally revolve around the children.
