What is Gait Analysis?
Gait analysis involves assessing how a person walks. A number of tools can be used to do this; video analysis, pressure plate analysis and also via observation and interpretation which is carried out by our highly skilled specialists.
Pressure plate analysis uses innovative technology which is then able to identify problems involving abnormal foot pressures and movements that occur when walking that would not be possible to detect through observation alone. This technology is used in tandem with a physical and treadmill examination for the purpose of diagnosing conditions of the lower limbs.

Why is Gait Analysis important?
Even a small problem developing in your feet will cause subtle changes in the way you walk, and will then cause a chain reaction of adjustments in both your walking mechanism and your posture. This can lead to more serious problems as the adjustments you make can put stress on joints higher up your body.
