Physiotherapist

Avi Lakhani

Clinic location : Bath

Whether you're recovering from an injury, struggling with persistent pain, or looking to get back to the activities you enjoy, my goal is to help you move with confidence again.

I treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions including back and neck pain, shoulder and knee injuries, sports injuries and post-operative rehabilitation. Every patient is different, so I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I enjoy taking the time to understand what's important to you, explain what's happening with your body in a way that makes sense, and work with you to build a rehabilitation plan that fits your goals and lifestyle.

More about Avi Lakhani

My interest in physiotherapy became much more personal after I sustained a shoulder subluxation during my undergraduate training. Going through rehabilitation myself gave me a completely different perspective. I experienced first-hand how frustrating injury can be, but also how empowering the right rehabilitation can be when you understand why you're doing each stage of the process. Since then, I've worked across private practice and university sport, treating everyone from weekend runners and gym-goers to competitive athletes. I currently work as Lead Physiotherapist for Cardiff University Women's Rugby and as a Performance Therapist at Cardiff Met Sport, where I assess injuries, provide pitch-side care and guide athletes through rehabilitation and their return to sport. One of the things I enjoy most about being a physiotherapist is building relationships with people. Recovery isn't always straightforward, and I believe patients get the best results when they feel listened to, understand their condition and are actively involved in their rehabilitation.
