Senior Sports Therapist
Kat Buckland
Clinic location : Bath
I’ve always been part of competitive sports, both as an individual and part of a team, so have witnessed and experienced various injuries seeing how they have affected myself or others. I have always enjoyed the theory and anatomy side, so I am lucky to combine my interests. Outside of clinic life I am a keen hockey player, cricketer and dressage rider with my 2 horses.
I completed my sports therapy degree at Hartpury University, while I was there I developed my skills within the top flight rugby teams on site, who allowed me to test and expand my clinical knowledge as I learned more. I have also worked with post London marathon finishers, GB Skating, Welsh Hockey and also testing out pitchside first aid in various rugby/ netball sevens competitions. I managed to develop research into areas of interest (mainly biomechanics) by completing a study into EMG and kinematics of dressage riders lower limbs within different paces.
