SENIOR PHYSIOTHERAPIST & TEAM LEADER

Selene Cavallaro

I see being a physiotherapist as a mission: helping people improve their life quality, reducing their pain, healing from injuries that sometimes occur without having to give up their own passions. Having had to stop playing inline hockey because of bad physiotherapy treatments and management, I am really motivated to deliver the best combination of treatment and management possible. I strongly believe this can be achievable with a deep exploration of the problem’s roots and applying the best treatment possible based on up-to-date research.

I graduated in 2011 in Italy, where I worked for almost 7 years before moving to the UK. I have gained experience in both the NHS and private sector, focusing on amputees, post-op and Orthopaedics and MSK rehabilitation. I, also, managed post-stroke, neurological Paediatric and medical-legal cases with great success.

Having had working experience in a different Country allowed me to critically observe the pros and cons of both the Italian and British Health System and physiotherapists practice. This has enabled me to combine knowledge acquired in Italy with that acquired in England. I am still expanding my professional skills and knowledge by studying for my Master’s degree in Advance Manipulative Physiotherapy at Birmingham University.
