I have always loved movement and for many years pounded the gym participating in aerobics, LBT, Spinning etc. In fact you name it and I’ve probably done it! But I never paid any interest in Pilates. Now much later in my life, I wish I had a mini me sitting on my shoulder nudging me to give it a go!
My personal journey with Pilates started back in 2015. Like many of you I only started my Pilates journey because I was suffering from bad posture, a weak core and chronic pain. I immediately fell in love and wanted to understand the system in greater depth. So in 2018 I undertook the study of Pilates and the human body and in 2019 qualified as a STOTT Pilates Instructor.
My own personal practice, and the necessity to break down exercises simply because my body was dictating the pace, has given me an uncanny ability to deeply understand each client’s needs, break down exercises to meet their current abilities and in time assist them to create and build better posture and stronger cores.
In addition, during my training, I was fortunate enough to have been given the opportunity to shadow some of the best in the business. This together with my enthusiasm, passion and desire to help people, has given me an in depth understanding in creating strength, building a strong core, good postural awareness and rehabilitation.
I love learning, and my desire to learn together with continuing to help people move better has continued. In January 2020, I qualified as a ZEN-GA instructor. ZEN-GA is a teaching modality that consciously connects the body and the mind through innovative movement and breath.
My journey has further continued this year having attended workshops on the low back, shoulder girdle, knee rehabilitation post rehab and hip rehabilitation post rehab.
The body’s biomechanics also fascinates me and I recently attended an introduction to the iMoveFreely® programme, a series of muscle release technique (MET) exercises which can help the body to allow freedom of movement.

An all round positive experience with the team at PB, from reception to practitioners. A big thanks to both Jenie (sports therapist) and Marina (pilates instructor). Always a positive experience with you guys during the sessions. It’s great to know we have a hub close by that understands and is able to discuss, diagnose and treat sport related injuries.
I really enjoyed the class and was really impressed that you were very careful to make sure that I was in the right position. I liked the fact that you chatted to us to make sure that we understood how we were supposed to feel to make sure that we were working correctly, not always easy in a “Zoom” situation. I would happily recommend you to others.
Just wanted to thank you for a really fun and informative pilates session last week. As someone whose not done many exercise classes I found myself quite nervous when it was leading up to the session but you were so friendly and made myself and everyone else feel really comfortable straight away. The beginners class was really fun, and I learned a lot in a the 45 minute session! I have tried following a couple of pilates videos I’ve found online but found myself a bit confused with how to do each move so I was worried about that, however you explained all the rules and the moves so clearly, in detail, and made them feel really easy to follow and understand!! You are a lovely, knowledgable and upbeat person (the kind of person who can make everything fun)! So thank you again for a brilliant pilates class
